Dianne Buswell shrieked as she was grilled about engagement rumours by Susanna Reid live on Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 35, who has been dating Joe Sugg since they met on the show in 2018, was recently spotted wearing a ring on social media.
While appearing on the ITV show with Vito Coppola, host Susanna took the chance to question Dianne about the speculation.
She asked: ‘I want to ask you because there was a lot of speculation about the fact that you might have got engaged over the last couple of days!’
Dianne explained: ‘It’s a really funny story! I was in Australia and it’s quite hot over there. I had just flown in and my fingers get a little bit swollen on the plane.
‘I’m taking pictures with my family and I put them online so everyone thought I was engaged. I’m not engaged.’

Ed Balls jokingly added: ‘Joseph, what are you doing? What’s he doing, seriously?’
The couple met on the sixteenth series of the BBC dance show after being partnered together.
They finished runners-up to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who later started dating and welcomed their daughter Minnie earlier this year.
Dianne has talked openly about their own plans to start a family, previously telling Women’s Health: ‘Joe is the most supportive person. I’d love to have a family one day, and I know Joe would love a family too. That would be our dream one day.’
Joe found fame with his ‘ThatcherJoe’ YouTube channel before launching spin-offs ‘ThatcherJoeVlogs’ and ‘ThatcherJoeGames’.
In December Joe shared a sweet, gushing message to celebrate his girlfriend Dianne and her Strictly partner Chris after they were victorious on the BBC show.
The duo were crowned 2024’s champions after the comedian made history as the show’s first-ever blind contestant and winner.
Chris pipped fellow finalists Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland to the post in the ‘best ever’ final, with his cheeky wit and inspiring story helping to save the show following a year of scandals.

Joe proudly shared a gallery of pictures praising the dancer for her hard work and ‘determination’.
He wrote: ‘There are no words to describe how proud I am of you both @diannebuswell @chrismccauslandcomedy, Last night was an absolute movie.
‘You made us laugh, you made us cry and you proved to the world that you are good enough and you can achieve anything the doubters say you can’t and more.
‘Chris I thank you for making this year so special for Dianne and I could not be happier that you’re the partner she finally lifted the glitterball with.
‘Dot, it’s been a long winding, road full of ups and downs for 7 years but you have shown pure determination & dedication and you finally got there in the best way possible and everyone has been able to see how amazing you are and what an incredible teacher you are this year.
‘You are both inspirations and have the nations hearts ♥️ on behalf of everyone, thank you.’
In the series of photos, Dianne was all smiles as she proudly held onto the Glitterball trophy while Chris and Joe stood either side of her.
