Chris McCausland was inundated with support as he shared an update about his tour. The Strictly Come Dancing winner, 47, is currently travelling around the UK on his national tour, Yonks!, performing for fans in locations such as Sheffield, Swansea, Coventry and more. The comedian has now announced that new dates have been added up and down the country. But fans need to act fast as Chris revealed several of the dates are already sold out.

Taking to Instagram, Chris wrote: “The Yonks! Tour is well underway and it’s been incredible so far. There are still tickets available for upcoming shows in Croydon, Salford, Swansea & Dudley in April & May. We’ve added loads of extra dates up and down the country, many are sold out but take a look on my website to see if there’s still tickets available at a venue near you.” The post was flooded with supportive messages from Chris’s friends and followers, with one writing: “Genuinely one of the best stand up’s I’ve ever seen.”

“So funny. Best thing I’ve seen in years, absolutely crying with laughter. Brilliant,” echoed a second as a third commented: “I saw you in Norwich and had such a great time, I’ve booked to see you again at the London palladium next year!”

Another added: “Saw you in Scarborough on Friday night. We enjoyed it so much,” as a fifth declared: “This was absolutely hilarious in Bradford on Tuesday.”

Due to high demand, Chris will be performing on the Yonks! tour through until 2026, with tickets available to purchase up until May next year. Chris felt the name Yonks was appropriate because “he’s been called an ‘overnight success’, even though he’s been doing stand-up for yonks”.

The tour kickstarted in January and meant Chris was unable to participate in the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour. This devastated fans, who voted Chris as their champion of the 2024 series.

He was partnered with Dianne Buswell and made history after becoming the first ever blind contestant to compete in the BBC series. Chris lost his eyesight aged 22 due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa.

After learning he had won the competition, an emotional Chris said: “It’s astonishing. I don’t know what to say. I honestly thought I would go out in the first week or two. I know no one went out in the first week but I thought I still could. We’ve just lasted and lasted.”

Speaking about his partnership with Dianne, Chris declared: “She’s got so much out of me and she deserves this so much. She is one of the easiest people to be funny with that I’ve ever met.”

He added: “This is for her and it’s for everyone out there that got told they couldn’t do something or thought they couldn’t do it. It shows that opportunity, support and determination means anything can happen.”
