There is no greater legacy than leaving the world a little better than it was when we entered it. Seeing the suffering of an innocent animal leads hundreds of individuals to become rescuers of innocent animals on the streets, or treated with contempt.

And it is that when the heart opens up to furry people who need someone to protect them, there is a force that attracts us to save them. One of these extraordinary ladies, a member of the Lucky Dog Shelter in the city of Stamford, Connecticut, USA, discovered a dog in a terrible situation .

A mysterious one called Halo curled up on the forest floor . She had a completely lost appearance, which indicates that she was blind . Besides, she was hungry. Fortunately, the goodwill of this group of men and women has made it possible for Halo to aspire to a fresh start in life.

Halo was really in a terrible state , but, with a little tight care, a lot of love, compassion and, yes, a few McDonald’s ice cream cones, the dog got up from her ashes and began to reveal himself exactly as she is. That’s really it .

According to a local media station, the little animal was left in the middle of greenery, on the ground in a ball, probably waiting for Death to finally end the suffering. Blindness was visible through the Milky tone of his pupils.

One of the volunteers tried to encourage her to eat some food so that she would get up on her own and leave the site alone. By the time she stood up they had discovered the reason for her extreme weakness: the aura was just bones and skin

Hence her name Halo,” Halo ” in Spanish, because the rescue team made a decision that if the impossibility of treating her was near, they would kill her with dignity. The fact is that she was suffering a lot and clinging. For them, it was unfair to prolong her misery.

“We felt that it was not worth it for her to endure more than she was suffering . If necessary, we put her to sleep,” one of the rescuers noted.

As if by a miracle, Halo began to progress little by little and heal, with all the chances of living a regular life again. She joined a foster family to start her medical treatment .

According to Stacy, her adoptive mother, Halo’s health was very bad when she came, and yet no one at the shelter hesitated a second to help her with anything.

As soon as she was ready to start moving, Halo leaned over Stacy, showing tremendous delight in experiencing the love of human warmth, to whom she selflessly showed something she had never experienced before. Hugs, kisses, caresses and snuggles are minimal between them.

“The dog has made progress in her recovery and is a fluffy, lively, pet-loving and intelligent dog, despite her vision being impaired. She likes to eat her favorite ice cream cones on the couch”.

This is excellent good news for everyone in the animal kingdom. We love to observe how another life is saved by a group of kind beings, fully committed to protecting their well-being. Excellent people!
